PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: August 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Law Office of Theodore Huang (“Law Office,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information obtained through RanchoImmigration.com, online forms, consultation scheduling, telephone calls, text messages, email communications, and related online services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services or voluntarily providing information to the Law Office, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

INFORMATION THAT MAY BE COLLECTED AND HOW IT IS USED

Depending upon how you interact with the Law Office, information collected may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, immigration and citizenship information, immigration history, entries and departures, visas, petitions, applications, immigration status, family relationships, employment and education information, appointment and consultation information, payment and transaction information, communications, documents, and other information provided in connection with an existing or prospective legal matter. The Law Office may also collect technical information associated with use of the Website, including IP address, browser and device information, cookies, usage information, referring pages, and similar technical data, and may receive relevant information from third parties.

Information may be used to respond to inquiries; evaluate prospective immigration matters; conduct conflict checks; schedule and conduct consultations; communicate with prospective and existing clients; provide legal services; request, receive, organize, and review documents; prepare immigration applications, petitions, requests, and related submissions; communicate regarding appointments, deadlines, documents, case developments, payments, and administrative matters; process payments; maintain business and professional records; operate and secure the Law Office’s systems; prevent fraud and misuse; comply with legal, regulatory, ethical, professional, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations; and protect the legitimate interests of the Law Office, its clients, and others.

PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS AND ATTORNEY-CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY

Submitting information, contacting the Law Office, requesting a consultation, or otherwise communicating with the Law Office does not, by itself, establish an attorney-client relationship or obligate the Law Office to accept your matter. Prospective-client information may be reviewed to evaluate an inquiry, conduct conflict checks, determine whether a consultation or representation may be appropriate, respond to communications, and maintain reasonable records concerning inquiries. Prospective clients should avoid providing unnecessary highly sensitive information until requested.

When an attorney-client relationship exists, information relating to the representation may also be protected by applicable rules governing attorney confidentiality and, where applicable, attorney-client privilege or the attorney work-product doctrine. This Privacy Policy does not reduce, waive, or replace any confidentiality obligation imposed upon the Law Office or attorney by applicable law or professional-conduct rules. Not every communication with the Law Office is necessarily privileged, and contacting the Law Office does not automatically make a communication subject to attorney-client privilege.

TEXT MESSAGES, EMAIL, AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

If you provide a mobile telephone number and consent to receive text messages, the Law Office may use that number for consultation requests, appointment reminders, intake information, document requests, case-related communications, status information, administrative notices, and other communications relating to your inquiry or legal matter. Message frequency varies depending upon your interactions with the Law Office and, if applicable, activity in your case. You may receive up to 10 text messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing legal services or obtaining legal representation. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact the Law Office at (909) 278-8898.

Mobile information, including mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent information, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent and related information will not be shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging service or otherwise facilitating communications you requested or authorized. Information may, however, be provided to vendors and service providers as reasonably necessary to deliver communications or operate the Law Office’s systems.

If you provide an email address or otherwise communicate electronically with the Law Office, that information may be used to respond to you and communicate concerning consultations, intake, representation, documents, appointments, payments, and other matters relating to your inquiry or case. Email, text messaging, and other electronic communications involve inherent privacy and security risks, and no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should not send passwords, financial-account credentials, or other unnecessarily sensitive information through ordinary email or text messages.

TELEPHONE CALLS, AUTOMATION, AND AI-ASSISTED COMMUNICATIONS

The Law Office may use technology, including automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted systems, to answer or route telephone calls, collect basic contact or intake information, transcribe or summarize communications, schedule or facilitate follow-up, and perform administrative functions. Such systems are intended to facilitate communication and administration. They are not attorneys and are not authorized to provide legal advice or establish an attorney-client relationship. Information provided during these interactions may be processed, transcribed, summarized, or stored by technology providers used by the Law Office.

SERVICE PROVIDERS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND OTHER RECIPIENTS

The Law Office may use third-party providers for website hosting, contact management, telephone and text communications, email, scheduling, videoconferencing, payments, electronic signatures, document management, cloud storage, analytics, security, automation, and other business functions. Information may be provided to these providers to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform services for the Law Office. Third-party providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, contractual obligations, and applicable law. The Law Office cannot guarantee the security, availability, or practices of systems operated independently by third parties.

When you retain the Law Office, information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to provide legal services, including to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. embassies and consulates, other governmental entities, experts, translators, interpreters, service providers, and other persons or entities involved in your matter. Information may also be disclosed when authorized by you, required by law, reasonably necessary to comply with legal or professional obligations, or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or prevent fraud or misuse.

NO SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Law Office does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of the term and does not sell or rent client or prospective-client contact information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes. This does not prevent the Law Office from using service providers to operate its business or from making disclosures permitted or required by law or applicable professional obligations.

COOKIES AND WEBSITE TECHNOLOGY

The Website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, analytics technologies, log files, or similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, understand Website usage, maintain security, and improve functionality. Some technologies may be provided by third parties and may collect information according to their own privacy policies. Browser settings and other tools may permit you to limit certain cookies, although disabling cookies may affect Website functionality.

DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

The Law Office uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse. However, no website, email system, telephone system, cloud service, electronic communication, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. The Law Office therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices, accounts, passwords, email systems, and communications.

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide legal services, maintain business and professional records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with applicable legal or ethical requirements, protect the Law Office’s legitimate interests, and satisfy applicable document-retention obligations. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

CHILDREN AND INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE

The Website is not directed to children for independent use. Immigration matters frequently involve minor children, however, and a parent, legal guardian, petitioner, sponsor, or other authorized person may provide information concerning a minor when reasonably necessary for an immigration inquiry or legal matter.

If you provide information concerning a spouse, child, parent, relative, employee, beneficiary, petitioner, sponsor, joint sponsor, household member, or another person, you represent that you have a legitimate reason to provide the information in connection with your inquiry or legal matter. You should provide only information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is being submitted.

PRIVACY REQUESTS AND CALIFORNIA PRIVACY

You may contact the Law Office to request correction of inaccurate contact information or ask questions about personal information maintained by the Law Office. Certain information may need to be retained despite a request for deletion because of legal, ethical, professional, recordkeeping, security, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate requirements.

California residents may have rights concerning personal information under applicable California privacy laws. The applicability and scope of particular California privacy statutes depend upon statutory definitions, exemptions, business thresholds, the nature of the information involved, and other circumstances. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to waive any right provided by applicable law, create rights beyond those provided by applicable law, or represent that a particular statute applies where it does not.

The Website may contain links to government agencies and other third-party websites.
